ECOLOGICAL COMMUNITY PROJECT TOWARDS A SUSTAINABLE CITY The greatest environmental challenges are caused by urban areas. The Ecological Community Project focuses on sustainable construction and living in the cities. The project started in 1994 with the Finnish Association of Architects (SAFA), the Finnish Ministry of Environment and the Technology Development Centre (Tekes) as partners.
